Based in the Washington, District of Columbia area, this opening for a Controller is a full-time position. Key responsibilities - Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports - Handle monthly and yearly close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis - Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Manage the production of the yearly budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly - Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities - Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals - Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation - Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation - Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques - Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations - Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Manage a team of four To be confidentially considered for this position please call 202-626-0280 and ask for Evan Witten or email firstname.lastname@example.org
