Robert Half Legal is seeking a Record Information Analyst who will report to the Director of Information Governance and will be responsible for supporting the company's Information Governance (IG) compliance program and will assist in the implementation and compliance with IG policies and procedures. The Analyst will assist the Director, IG with IT organization, Legal/Litigation, Business Units, and Corporate Functions on IG issues. The Record Information Analyst will support legal, regulatory, and business obligations for the creation and retention of both paper and electronic records. This includes support of controlling the number of records created and stored, and assisting in identifying which records are to be preserved for historical and research purposes and which should be destroyed. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Support the operation of the Information Governance Program across the company to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, best practices and industry standards
Facilitate the development of filing systems with the departments, and assist in the maintenance of these to meet administrative, legal, and financial requirements.
Assist the departments with storing, arranging, indexing, and classifying records according to the Records Retention Schedule
Applying lifecycle management to records in all formats/media, including identifying those eligible for destruction or transfer
Identify records management issues and formulate recommendations for improvements in records management policies and procedures
Conduct and contribute to the development of records management training
Coordinate with the IT Department and assist in efforts to put into place systems and applications that provide employees with tools to assist with information management and disaster recovery.
Work with the Chief Legal Office to address electronic data and discovery issues.
Respond to internal information inquiries. ? SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
3 to 5 years related experience in a records management or information technology environment, using active or inactive records management systems
Solid understanding of file plans, retention schedules, records disposition, transfer, and destruction
General maintenance of records and records management best practices
Must have the ability to present records analysis results in well-organized and readable form
Experience in maintaining department-wide approaches and solutions
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have the ability to handle confidential data
Must be detailed oriented with strong problem-solving skills; able to conduct multiple tasks for several projects, and effectively balance priorities
Demonstrated ability to work professionally with personnel at all levels of the organization and handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity
Strong planning, organizing and analytical skills; ability to review info/facts, conduct problem solving and generate solutions
Strong follow through and follow up on action items as well as strong collaboration and time management skills
