Robert Half International Purchasing Coordinator in St. Cloud, Minnesota

We are hiring for a Purchasing Coordinator to join a stable, fast-paced company. This person would be working closely with the Purchasing team and will be the first point of contact for all inquiries and vendors,

This role will facilitate the organized functioning of a high volume storeroom warehouse that services all departments.. This includes daily tracking, recording and reporting of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Will act as a ?gatekeeper? to ensure orders are received complete, accurate and timely; and to the specifications outlined by Purchasing Management. Will take initiative in communicating with vendors, creating RFP?s, resolving order discrepancies, and answering questions. Perform detailed data entry using Excel, accounting software, and Purchasing Inventory Systems. Maintain organization of office paperwork and files both hard copy and electronic.

Clerical duties include: receiving and distributing mail, filing, inventory, packing and shipping UPS and FedEx Packages, tracking orders, answering telephones, updating and printing reports. Will function as a team player to ensure Purchasing processes are observed and departmental purchasing needs are met.

Additional duties include:

1) Receive daily shipments. Check for accuracy, enter receiving information, and input invoice information.

2) Maintain detailed Excel Spreadsheets including inputting, generation of reports, and formulas.

3) Maintain Purchasing Workflow in software so all items are resolved within a timely manner

4) Utilize the Purchasing Inventory System to track and record requisition data.

5) Verify partial shipments are completed within 24 hours and follow-up in case of discrepancies.

6) Build positive business relationships with vendors and internal departments to facilitate open communication regarding purchase orders.

7) Greet visitors and accompany them to the appropriate area or person.

8) Pack, label and ship FedEx and UPS mailings.

9) Answer all incoming phone calls and assist caller or defer to appropriate Purchasing Associate when necessary.
