Requirements: Experience desired: - 1+ years of Python experience - 1+ years of user experience programming beyond HTML/CSS (e.g. Kivy/Ionic/Angular/React, etc.) - 1+ years of experience with application and system architecture - 1+ years working with structured and unstructured databases - Strong expertise in implementing continuous improvement, continuous integration processes for automated software build and deployment - Strong experience in test driven development and testing approaches to improve software reliability - Experience with performance testing - AWS solution and implementation knowledge is a bonus Minimum desired requirements for this role: - 1-2+ years? experience doing full-stack or back-end software engineering in at least one of the following: Python, Java, Ruby, C#, etc. - Understanding of REST architectural style. - Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) at an intermediate level and experience interfacing with databases through both SQL and object-relational mapping (ORM). - Some experience using version control systems (VCS) like Git on large projects with multiple team members. - Understanding of paradigms and methodologies like object-oriented programming (OOP), model-view-controller (MVC) and test-driven development (TDD) at an intermediate level. Ideal candidate will have: - Understanding of Python at an intermediate level. - 2+ years? experience doing full stack or back-end software engineering in Python. - Experience working with tools like PostgreSQL, Redis, Memcached, uWSGI, Nginx and RabbitMQ. - Experience implementing asynchronous programming models. - Familiarity with how to use resources like StackOverflow to solve problems when the solution isn't clear or immediately apparent. - A portfolio of work that can be evaluated in the interview process.
