The Creative Group is looking for an exceptional Instructional Designer to join our client on a full-time bases.

The Instructional Designer is a new position, meant to create our state of the art Company-Wide training strategy, systems and programs and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. You will be evaluating and choosing a LMS, as well as other systems and tools necessary for this role, to include locating and/or managing vendors.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructures required to support learning.
  • Conducts needs assessment for adult learners.
  • Works with subject matter experts to identify target audience?s training needs.
  • Proposes training and development programs and objectives. Promotes processes that enhance the validity and reliability of outcomes.
  • Develops and monitors spending against the departmental budget.
  • Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Trains and coach?s managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • Conducts follow-up studies of outcome-based training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.

Requirements

Competencies:

  • Ability to determine appropriate theory of learning method of instruction necessary for specific audiences, and experience in their application;
  • Thorough knowledge of adult learning and associated techniques for their success;
  • Experience in the development of computer-based and multimedia education materials;
  • Use of any/any/all the following: Captivate, evaluating and implementing LMS?s, familiarity with software such as Dreamweaver or Photoshop, social media platforms and tools, gamification, audio and video editing;
  • Analysis and Writing: ability to diagnose or represent training data and anecdotal feedback in meaningful ways;
  • Operational Planning Project Management: Ability to make strategic decisions and prioritize/plan appropriately; show structured thinking, planning, and ability to execute by working through others, influencing without authority, and dealing with ambiguity;
  • Understand Learning Objectives: describe how objectives relate to a role?s responsibilities and performance, as well as how they corroborate business goals;
  • Able to communicate effectively and concisely with stakeholders and leaders about our programs and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Instructional Systems, Learning Sciences, Learning Design and Technology or related field;
  • Master?s degree in educational technology, instructional design, curriculum and instruction, assessment and evaluation, or other closely related field from an accredited institution preferred;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience developing virtual training materials or courses using course development software;
  • Certified detail oriented in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential is preferred
  • Experience with adult learners;
  • Ability to demonstrate experience managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills, detail- and results-oriented;
  • Ability to storyboard;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
