Requirements: PRIMARY DUTIES: ? Monitor NMS for faults and alerts, as well as enhancement/refinement of NMS to provide more insight into production ? Maintain production problem/issues log on a daily basis ? Keep detailed log of any production related issues and incidents including their causes resolutions ? Act as central point of contact for production related incidents problems, including providing detailed and immediate notification and updates to key individuals/groups ? Detailed troubleshooting, deployment, migration, maintenance and administration of the following: Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, HP and Dell servers, Cisco/Foundry/Juniper network devices ? Routine production activities, including posting of data-sets, running performance reports, managing backup jobs and archiving ? Documentation of network and server topology, as well as operating procedures ? Monitoring of NIM ticketing system, as well triage and resolution of all Tier2 requests (account creations, access requests, etc.) SKILLS REQUIRED: ? Previous NOC experience is preferred ? 1 to 2 years? experience with Linux, FreeBSD, or another UNIX OS ? 1 to 2 years? experience with MAC OSX, and IOS Upgrades ? 1 to 2 years? experience with MS Windows 7 (and above) Window Server 2008 operating systems (and above) ? 1 to 2 years? experience with Apache, Web/HTML, and UNIX services (DNS, NFS, Samba, SSH, etc.) ? Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols ? 1 to 2 years? experience with SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) ? Hands-on experience with Networking Products (Cisco, Foundry, Juniper) manipulation ? 2 years? experience working within a datacenter environment ? Knowledge of system monitoring and ticketing software ? Organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively handle concurrent projects ? Good written and oral interdepartmental communication skills ? Ability and availability to be on-call 24 hours a day or on a rotating alternative schedule ? 1-year minimum experience with Python ? 1 to 2 years? experience with VMware, ESX ? 1 to 2 years? experience with storage arrays (EMC, EqualLogic) ? Experience w/Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence, etc.) ? Firewall and router experience a plus ? UNIX or Cisco certifications a plus ? Travel may be required for training or other work-related duties (25% or less)
