An Engineering company located in West Houston is adding an Accountant to their growing team. The Senior Accountant role is an accounting position handling the manual and systematic intercompany transactions and balances between multiple domestic and global entities in accordance with established accounting principles, policies and objectives. Essential Duties: ? Manage the intercompany portion of the monthly financial close process ? Track intercompany transactions/invoicing in the ERP to ensure completeness and accuracy and accrue when necessary due to timing or other issues ? Maintain a robust and timely intercompany confirmation and reporting process between multiple entities each month ? Ensure proper GL coding of intercompany transactions/invoices ? Reconcile all Intercompany accounts each month (Balance Sheet Income Statement) ? Oversee the processing and payment of intercompany invoices with Shared Services ? Reconcile and resolve intercompany transaction variances with counterparties ? Serve as a liaison between global Finance Managers, Project Managers, and Business Unit Managers to investigate and resolve any intercompany discrepancies ? Work with the Financial Reporting Group to collect data for monthly intercompany AR, AP, Loan, interest expense and to resolve all intercompany outages before reporting to the Parent Company ? Develop ad hoc schedules for planning and decision making, and assist with special projects as necessary ? Implement process improvements where possible Required Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required ? Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience ? Excellent organizational skills necessary to handle multiple tasks ? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills ? Oracle R12/Voyager ERP experience, preferred ?
