Robert Half Accountemps Payroll Clerk in HONOLULU, Hawaii

A well-known company is currently looking for a Payroll Clerk who is excited about filling a challenging position. A Payroll Clerk position is available on a team at one of clients that is offered through Accountemps. You will be expected to support the Payroll department in this position in a variety of duties such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. In order to successfully perform as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team, a candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Honolulu, Hawaii area and is a long term temporary-to-fulltime employment role.

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

  • Arrange data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Administer and distribute reports as instructed

  • Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Build and run custom reports

  • File, scan, fax, and perform other clerical duties as required

  • Manage communications with employees on timesheet approvals

  • Previous payroll experience

  • Well-founded grasp of ADP Windows

  • Proven knowledge of MS Outlook

  • Reporting experience preferred

  • Microsoft Excel experience highly desired

  • Expertise in multi-state payroll

  • Deep understanding of month end closings

  • Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Qualified in Payroll software

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Ability to easily learn new systems

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
