The innovative team at Accountemps is in need of a Senior Accountant with terrific experience and know-how for a short term temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities

  • Ready monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

  • Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors

  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

  • Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

  • ERP system experience

  • Account reconciliation experience

  • Knowledge of month end closings

  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget forecasting

  • Microsoft Excel experience

  • Financial statement preparation experience

  • General familiarity with payroll

  • Adeptness in budgeting

  • Macros experience

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Strong organization skills

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
