OfficeTeam has an immediate opening for a Customer Support Specialist to assist with answering high volume of inbound phone calls! Once you get your foot in the door with this client, there are permanent positions available that you are encouraged to apply to. The Customer Support Specialist will enter and review referral and prior authorization requests, which include researching and obtaining additional information as necessary. The Customer Support Specialist will review claims for appropriate billing, correct payment, will identify and route claims for advanced or clinical review and identify care coordination. Associates degree or comparable post high school education or experience in relevant field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 1 year in health-related setting; insurance plan benefits, regulations, care coordination and authorization functions experience preferred. Skills: Bi-lingual preferred. Knowledge of medical/dental terminology and coding, excellent communication skills including interviewing, active listening, negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution. Typing at 40 WPM.
