Robert Half Office Team Administrative Assistant in Concord, California

Local Employee Association is in need of a customer service/administrative coordinator to assist with managing the ticket sales and reservations for special events and activities. This organization provides a myriad of activities and benefits to local employees and retirees of a large energy provider in northern California. One of the many benefits is access to discounted tickets for sporting events, theme parks, ski resorts, and other activities in the greater bay area. For this customer service position you will be handling ticket sales and vendor management. Duties for this role will include answering inbound calls from members who have questions about an upcoming events, ticket purchases and prices. You will also be in charge of processing online orders, sending confirmation to the client as well as mailing out tickets to the customer. You will also interact with vendors that offer the discounted tickets. In this part of the job you will be responsible for seeing what pricing deals they can offer this year to try and get the best deal for the members. This is not sales, but you must be comfortable to ask for the best deal and additional perks! You will also have some interaction with local charities and help organize times for charity representatives to speak with employee's about their cause and how they can give back to the community through this charity. This position requires heavy coordination and the ability to multi task. This is a fast paced, ever changing position, so the ideal person will be comfortable handling multiple priorities at once. You must be detail oriented to be successful in this position. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, have great customer service skills, be comfortable on the phone, working with deadlines, and be self-motivated. This is a small office where you will also be cross trained on other employee's duties, so you can step in whenever it is needed during vacations or leaves. This is a long term temporary-full-time position. There is limited room for growth in this role.
