In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. If you think you can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Major responsibilities - Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable - Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision - Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls under SOX while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP - Participate in various department-wide initiatives - Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation - Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request - Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting - Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments - Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation - Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
