Must have: Comfortable with large data sets. Must be open and able to grasp systems Reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, month end close process, accruals, rebate accounting, rebate calculation, expense calculation Process and Report Improvement / Simplification Report Simplification Analytical mindset Must understand Rev, COGS, SGA

Nice to have : intercompany accounts, report actuals versus budget versus forecast, Oracle and/or Peoplesoft (system knowledge is nice to have)

Additional requirements and responsibilities

  • Assemble monthly consolidated P&L; and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

  • Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • 3+ years of overall general accounting experience

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Proven knowledge of financial analysis

  • Data or gap analysis experience highly desired

  • Command of business analysis

  • Solid understanding of analysis

  • Foundational knowledge in credit analysis

  • Compensation analysis experience

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work well with functional department managers

  • Strong organization skills

  • Efficient in ERP systems

  • Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
