Job Duties/Description: This position is a full-time role that reports to the Assistant Controller. Experience in a fast paced, construction environment is a core requirement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ? Review the labor compliance section of executed construction contracts. Research Federal (Davis Bacon) and State wage determinations to ensure payroll system setups are in alignment with contract stipulations. Experience researching the governance of various agencies to ensure accurate, timely reporting as required (e.g. Department of Labor, Department of Industrial Relations, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) ? Understand the impact public works labor compliance requirements have on hourly pay-rates and fringes making reference to applicable prevailing wage determinations for specific classifications of labor in various counties ? Verify new jobs are accurately setup in the payroll system to reflect hourly, OT, DT, fringe wage determination elements for the relevant county and craft classifications (iron worker, electrician, plumber, laborer) called for per the contract. Ensure setups support administration of weekly certified payroll and all other local, state and federal filing requirements as needed. Ensure setups support administration of commissions and field bonus payments in accordance with sales person and field compensation plans ? Collaborate with HR and Superintendents to dispatch apprentice and local hires in accordance with contract requirements. Reference on boarding documentation (I9, W4, etc) transmitted via the field and ensure timely (same day) administration of paychecks upon termination ? Administer weekly certified payroll reporting via Elations, LCP Tracker or to the DIR via electronic file transmission ? Oversee sub-contractor compliance
