Robert Half Technology Sr Developer/Team Lead in Tampa, Florida

Position Overview: The Web Development Manager will oversee the Web Development team that may include Web Developers, Web Designers, Data Engineer(s), Technical Business Analysts and possibly other roles as and when they are defined. The daily workload will be broken down into two primary areas: (1) Production – daily development, database and other technical work driven by supporting existing systems or customer-centric projects, and (2) Innovation/R D – projects initiated by the leadership team and those responsible for Digital Marketing Product Innovation. An acute ability to balance workload, prioritize work, capacity plan (technical and human resources) and manage to dates and budgets are critical to the success of this role. The Web Development Manager will be responsible balancing team management with his or her own development workload. This is a working-manager role that requires the Web Development Manager to not only be a technical resource and mentor for the team, but also takes a hands-on approach providing high-output of development tasks and projects. The Web Development Manager will model the team's behavior reflecting company culture, mission and values; drive output and operate within a budget to achieve Mediagistic's vision as the premier marketing and advertising agency for home service companies. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of full-stack, data engineering and front-end development team

  • Ability to manage team and provide coding output simultaneously.

  • Oversee development of company Web Development and Product Development projects. Ensure completeness, quality, timeliness, and budget efficiencies.

  • Provide leadership in support of our company's technology and product innovation roadmap

  • Lead execution and delivery of new initiatives as well as oversee operational support for solutions in production.

  • Lead and facilitate technical work planning sessions, sprint planning, and daily standup (Scrum) sessions.

  • Mentor, guide, and coach a team of web developers. Coordinate training opportunities that support growth of detail oriented/technical skills to drive increases in quality and business value.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of future trends in technology and how they impact the current and future state of the solution; present actionable information about these trends to development teams and senior management.

  • Ensure that technical solutions are aligned with established industry standards in the areas of security, corporate governance, coding standards, monitoring, testing, source code management, and deployment.

  • Continually research, discover and recommend web development process improvements that promote improved efficiency, collaboration, and quality.

  • Provide direct management oversight to Web Development team. Guide direct reports in support of their personal and organizational goals and responsibilities. Manage employee performance or discipline issues, and work with the Sr Manager of Internet Operations to recommend compensation, recognition, promotion, or other personnel decisions.
