Robert Half Finance & Accounting Payroll Specialist in Salinas, California

Our fun, fast pace office is currently looking for a full-time Permanent Payroll Specialist to enter payroll time and process bi-weekly while one of our key employees is out on leave. Position would start as soon as possible and would be M-F from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Responsibilities:

  • Processes timesheets

  • Investigates and rectifies authorized or unauthorized and pending deductions

  • First point of contact for time and attendance and payroll

  • Processes payroll and maintains payroll information as required including data entry for time and attendance and personnel transactions such as new hire, terminations, leaves of absence, benefits deductions, garnishments, etc.

  • Administers 401(k); including certified payroll when necessary

  • Responsible for maintaining and documenting employee timesheets, lunch times, and time off work forms, also responsible for reporting any time infractions to management

  • AA or B.S. in accounting or business preferred 3+ years of previous experience in accounting, and processing payroll
