Robert Half Accountemps Payroll Administrator in Oakland, California
The primary responsibility of this position is to process payroll accurately and quickly for staff in the defined Regions above by partnering with local HR Business Partners and contracted payroll providers. Secondly, this position is expected to provide superior customer service to all levels of staff and external vendors by responding to inquiries in a timely manner. Other duties include (but are not limited to): Prepare off-cycle payments as needed for terminations or other special payments Prepare data for reporting requirements Perform Month/Quarter/Year End activities, including balancing/auditing all tax filings Prepare details for Payroll Accountant(s)' journal entries to include all payroll transactions Assist Payroll Accountant(s) in resolving reconciling items on the payroll general ledger accounts Participate in project work as needed to support business process improvements, process changes, interfaces, etc.
Must have recent ADP PayForce/eEnterprise/PayExpert experience 5+ years payroll experience, Accounting, Finance or related experience Experience supporting a minimum of 2,500 employees Possess a clear understanding of payroll procedures, pension plans, tax regulations, and jurisdiction requirements Proven ability to provide responsive customer service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to clearly communicate detailed deadlines and processes Excellent organizational, time management, negotiation, and analytical skills Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion Must display initiative and proactive problem-solving skills Ability to be flexible with the work schedule in order to accommodate changing priorities and payroll deadline requirements Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance FPC or CPP certification preferred Please email your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
