Robert Half Finance & Accounting Payroll Administrator in HUNT VALLEY, Maryland
Robert Half is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator for our client in Hunt Valley, MD. Job Responsibilities:
Process all employee maintenance as related to pay items, deductions (including child support and garnishment orders) and taxes.
Monitor all notification workflows for newly hired, transferred, and terminated employees and take appropriate action.
Process manual check updates as necessary.
Assist with Quarter and Year-End processes related to payroll and taxable wages.
Import and export data to and from systems for processing.
Assist with maintenance of the Time and Attendance system, as requested.
Address employee and management inquiries and requests for information.
Other duties as required by management such as upgrade testing and special projects. Qualifications:
7+ years of payroll experience with an emphasis on deductions (child support and garnishment orders) and taxes.
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of most payroll practices, including FLSA and Wage and Hour Law regulations.
Multi-state payroll processing experience required.
Intermediate skill level in using Microsoft Office Suite.
Workday software knowledge is a plus
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Ability to maintain integrity, confidentiality and resolve issues with tact and diplomacy.
