If your interested, please contact Kevin Newkirk at POSITION SUMMARY The Project Engineer provides design efforts from inception through installation and aftermarket issues both in new product design and plant design and integration including design of refrigeration and control systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Reviewing customer needs and drawings drawings to determine requirements and/or feasibility of projects

  • Performing all necessary calculations such as stress analysis, performance analysis, and pressure drop and flow analysis, etc. as required

  • Preparing preliminary design proposal(s)

  • Performing liaison function between Engineering and all vendor manufacturing operations for any related issues, problems, or improvements

  • Working with the Vendor Quality Department to define problem areas and implement product improvements based on customer repair/rejection concerns

  • Participating in engineering and general design review as required

  • Refining and completing designs after design review meetings

  • Preparing proposal documentation

  • Preparing technical data such as utility requirements, piping design, etc.

  • Interacting with customers on engineering design and answering any questions or problems they may have

  • Interacting with vendors concerning parts they supply or propose to supply to company

  • Coordinating as required with internal groups including purchasing, quality control, sales, production, accounting personnel

  • Keeping supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments


  • Bachelor's of Engineering Degree or equivalent from four-year college

  • Four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents

  • Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints

  • Ability to use computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software

  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of calculus, modern algebra, and statistical theory

  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

  • Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
