TCG has an immediate need for a social media specialist for our client, BASF. You will assist with driving customer experience through social media management. The social media specialist will create content for and constantly monitor the brand's Social Media channels to communicate and engage with target audience(s) as well as listen to conversations and analyze trends to help improve our social media strategy execution. The Specialist will use social engagement tools to plan, create, publish content and measure the success of the various tactics and initiatives, identifying best practices and recommending future actions in line with the Social Media strategic plan. Refine social media strategy through competitive research, benchmarking, audience identification and evolving industry best practices, including the creation and use of thematic and editorial calendars
Generate and publish content (original text, images, video, etc.) that builds meaningful connections and encourages action and engagement
Monitor all social channels and respond/communicate as appropriate and in accordance with BASF corporate standards
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase visibility and engagement
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve our content and presence through analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics and generating meaningful and actionable insights
Collaborate with other departments (communications, marketing, sales, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Requirements: What We Look For in You…
Local candidates only
BS/BA degree Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations or similar
Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist (prefer at least 3 years)
Experience with social media listening and scheduling tool such as Sysomos, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.
Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels, including some knowledge of web design, web development, SEO/SEM
Positive attitude, detail and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and web-based applications
